Percentage Policies Some areas allow you to use only a percentage of your house for business, and are unlikely to make exceptions, to avoid residential properties from becoming completely commercial. Perhaps only 20% of your house could be used for business. This can be restrictive if you have a small house or need storage.
Restrictions by Industry It is worth checking if there's an exception in the zoning laws for the home business you're starting. Artists are often excluded from the laws, as well as people who give lessons, such as music teachers. Doctors and dentists are also common exceptions.
Signs, Traffic and Visitor Rules The laws in your area may have special restrictions for signs and traffic. On the internet you can advertise for free. This is another benefit of the internet. You can write article like this one and publish it in ezine, website, etc. This is call viral marketing. Or you can advertise for a really low investment, like with overture or Google Adword. You pay only when someone click on your Ad. This is called Pay Per Click. You can have good traffic and good sales using PPC campaign. You can bid as low as 10 cents per click.
With an internet business you don't need no inventory unless you have youre own product that you ship by yourself. Most business opportunity ship the product for you and you keep the profits.

So prepare a short term plan and a long term plan. The short term plan should be made even finer by breaking it up into daily, weekly and monthly slabs. Furthermore it is important that your plan is put down in writing so that you could and must refer back and check on your progress. Any compression, stretching or modification can be done as you go along.
