Incorporate Your Own Business
Do you have a small business or plan on starting one? Many people who have small businesses keep them sole proprietorships because they think it is too complicated and/or too time consuming to incorporate the business. It is true that incorporating a business does take work, and can cost money, but it really does pay to incorporate your business and you can do it easily by your self without the help of a lawyer.
There are two ways you can create and incorporate. The first way is to hire a lawyer and pay about $500 for him or her to create all the necessary materials and register your company. This can take up to a few weeks, but it is relatively easy and not that expensive.
The second way to create a corporation is to buy a do it yourself guide to forming a corporation. These books are simple to follow and
do not require a degree in law or business. The best thing is that if you can follow their simple directions you can create a corporation for a couple of hundred dollars max.
Not only does a corporation protect your personal assets, but there are plenty of tax breaks and incentives that are available to corporation. If you have a small business or thinking of starting one- incorporate it.
